DAMA 2021

The sixth edition of DAMA takes the title “Open”: a title evocative of the dense cultural program that takes place entirely in open spaces and best cultural sites of Turin where artworks interact and talk with the urban fabric, public places will become for a few days a showcase for exhibition projects and video art, unusual stages for conversations and meeting point between operators, artists, intellectuals and visitors.

The exhibition is a path diffused throughout the city where artists of different generations show their art pieces to

relate the history, visual identity, and architectural elements. The route winds its way from the courtyard of Piazza Carignano to Palazzo Chiablese, passing through three historic bookshops in Turin – Luxemburg, Gilibert, La Bussola – and the Isola multiplayer store in the San Salvario district.

DAMA is an independent collaborative project born in 2016 that always took place inside historical buildings in the city center, opening a dialogue with ancient residences, recreating the intimacy of private apartments through the installation of a series of site-specific exhibitions.
