Flat Art Book Fair
FLAT is the new international fair dedicated to contemporary art publishing hosted in the historical setting of Palazzo Cisterna from November 3 to 5, 2017. The fair welcomes 40 participating exhibitors from 12 different countries:

The fair is under the artistic direction of Chiara Caroppo, Beatrice Merz, Mario Petriccione while the scientific committee is composed by Liliana Dematteis (curator of artist books and collector), Richard Flood (director of Special Projects and Curator at Large, New Museum NY), David Senior (Head of Library and Archives, SFMOMA), Ken Soehner (Chief Librarian, Watson Library, The Met, NY), Lawrence Weiner (artist).
The fair is also enriched by a program of exhibitions and public events focusing on art publishing: two are the exhibitions, curated by Elena Volpato, art historian, conservator and curator at GAM – Civic Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art in Turin: the monographic show “Ettore Sottsass. Le pagine” at Palazzo Birago, the institutional venue provided by the Turin Chamber of Commerce, and the group show “Lettura per voci e silenzio” at Palazzo Cisterna, the official venue of the Fair.
The FLAT Public Program, curated by Francesca Valentini, independent curator and researcher, will include a series of lectures, talks, forums, workshops, readings, film screenings, music performances and book presentations.
