60th Biennale Arte – Biennale College
Biennale College is a project by La Biennale di Venezia dedicated to training and supporting young artists in all the artistic fields and in the specific activities of La Biennale’s organizational structure.
On the occasion of the 60th International Art Exhibition, 4 projects have been selected for the 2nd edition of the Biennale College Arte 2023/2024.
Over 150 young emerging artists under 30 from 37 countries around the world have joined the call for participation.
The 4 finalists are:
Agnes Questionmark
1995, Rome, Italy. Lives in New York, United States
Joyce Joumaa
1998, Beirut, Libano. Lives in Montreal, Canada
Sandra Poulson
1995, Luanda, Angola. Lives between London, United Kingdom and Luanda, Angola
Nazira Karimi
1996, Dushanbe, Tajikistan. Lives in Vienna, Austria and Almaty, Kazakhstan
Agnes Questionmark, Joyce Joumaa, Sandra Poulson and Nazira Karimi will receive a grant of 25,000 euros for the realization of the final work.
The artworks will be presented, out of competition, as part of the 60th International Art Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia, Stranieri Ovunque – Foreigners Everywhere, curated by Adriano Pedrosa.
