L’Altro Tramezzino

L’Altro Tramezzino is a small sandwich shop in Milan specialising in the Venetian-style tramezzino, the soft triangular sandwich made with crustless white bread and generous fillings. The project was created to bring this Venetian snack culture to Milan, drawing inspiration from the tradition of bacari, the informal bars where small bites are eaten throughout the day alongside a glass of wine.

The menu centres on freshly prepared tramezzini with a wide range of fillings, from classics like tuna and egg to more creative combinations using carefully sourced ingredients. Alongside the sandwiches, the shop also offers small plates and toast. The space itself is informal, designed for quick stops, takeaway or a casual lunch at the counter, and it has become a well-known stop for Milan’s sandwich culture, bringing a distinctly Venetian street-food tradition into the city.
