Café

Caffè San Carlo

Located beneath the porticoes of Piazza San Carlo, within the historic Turinetti di Priero Palace, Caffè San Carlo is one of Turin’s oldest and most prestigious cafés.
Opened in 1822, it later became a lively meeting place for politicians, intellectuals, and artists and a true symbol of the city’s cultural and social life.

Now housed within the Gallerie d’Italia museum complex, the café and bistrot continue this legacy, welcoming locals, museum visitors, and travelers alike.
With its refined atmosphere and deep historical roots, Caffè San Carlo remains a cornerstone of Turin’s café tradition – where elegance and history meet in the heart of the city.
