Nobis Hotel Copenhagen
Nobis Hotel Copenhagen occupies a neoclassical building from 1903, designed by Martin Borch and for decades home to the Royal Danish Academy of Music. The Swedish Nobis Hospitality Group opened the hotel in 2017, a few steps from Tivoli Gardens, City Hall Square and the Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek.
Swedish architect Gert Wingårdh designed the interiors with a light touch, keping the grand marble staircase with its wrought-iron railings and the stucco ceilings and setting new furniture in wood, leather and wool against the original rooms. The 75 rooms and suites range from Superior rooms to lofts under the roof, up to the Nobis Suite and the Penthouse Suite, which looks out across the city.
Restaurant NOI draws on cuisines from across Europe and works with carefully sourced ingredients, and it has a chambre séparée for private dinners. Next door, The Marble Bar pairs Nordic design with Italian marble and serves cocktails, local beers and vintage sparkling wines, while in summer drinks move out to the inner courtyard. Reserved for hotel guests, the relaxation area offers a modern sauna, a cold plunge pool and a heated marble bench in the style of a hammam.
