Pug Seal Allan Poe
A quirky boutique hotel in the upscale Polanco neighborhood, Pug Seal Allan Poe offers a welcoming service in an unbeatable location.
Pug Seal Allan Poe is a 1940s manor that has been thoughtfully renovated in order to blend its original architecture with contemporary art and design. The design language revolves entirely around the mythology of Quetzalcóatl. Upon entering, a woven tapestry symbolizes the birth of the quetzal, the sacred bird of freedom and life in Mesoamerican culture. A finely crafted lattice evokes the feathered serpent in flight, seamlessly uniting a historic house with its contemporary extension. This is not a themed aesthetic, but an invitation to connect with Mexico’s spiritual lineage – a sensory environment designed to elevate, ground, and move.
The 21 rooms and suites feature a clean, modern design, with marble and glass, parquet flooring, individual walls painted in bold colours — complemented by some whimsical touches, such as butterflies and insects dotting the wallpaper, or nature-inspired sculptures. Each accommodation is a unique and private space, carefully crafted to offer the tranquility and warmth typical of a Mexican home.
