A centrally located, luxury boutique hotel experience inside an architectural gem.
Opened in autumn 2023, Volga is a boutique hotel designed by JSa architecture – Aisha Ballesteros, Benedikt Fahlbusch, Javier Sánchez, setting out to create a contemporary, minimalist building set within a brutalist exterior. All rooms are centred around a massive open-air skylight, and look out onto the common area through an iron lattice screen system.
The little decoration throughout the property lets the design and furniture shine. Multi-use open spaces include an indoor garden, a gym, a boutique curated by local tastemaker Sally Galante, and a tasting room for sipping on spirits, wine, or chocolate. The hotel also features a rooftop serving as a music stage with live DJ performances.
On the weekends, the property attracts tourists and locals alike with the underground amphitheater, Minos, a nighttime music lounge designed to evoke the atmosphere of an undulating cave.
