Bus Palladium

For almost six decades, the Bus Palladium was one of the addresses that defined Paris nightlife. It opened in 1965 on rue Pierre Fontaine, at the foot of Pigalle, and took its name from the buses that brought young people in from the suburbs. Over the years it drew figures such as Serge Gainsbourg, Mick Jagger, Salvador Dalí and Patti Smith. The club closed in 2022 and reopened on 10 April 2026 as a five-star hotel, restaurant and club, a project led by Christian Casmèze together with the Chapitre Six hotel group.

The architects Karl Fournier and Olivier Marty of Studio KO carried the spirit of the club into the 35 rooms and suites, where raw concrete ceilings meet cork-lined walls, heavy velvet curtains, ribbed glass and powder-pink carpets. Found objects, vintage and bespoke furniture and contemporary artworks make each room different from the next, and Ojas speakers keep music playing from morning to night.

Chef Valentin Raffali runs the restaurant, which serves breakfast and dinner with a seasonal menu built on carefully sourced produce, while the bar offers small plates in between. The dining room is arranged around a vinyl bar, with vividly patterned carpets and low lighting. Caroline de Maigret shaped the hotel's sensory identity, from the playlists for each space to a signature amber fragrance and staff uniforms inspired by British rock and the French New Wave. Below ground, the historic hall has been rebuilt as a stage for concerts, DJ sets and performances, with programming by Lionel Bensemoun, the founder of Le Baron.
