Experimental Marais
An intimate five-star retreat blending the spirit of the Marais with contemporary hospitality.
At 116 rue du Temple, in the heart of Paris’s storied 3rd arrondissement, Hotel Experimental Marais embraces the neighbourhood’s storied past while offering the most contemporary hedonistic luxury. Designed by Tristan Auer, the 43 rooms and suites blend ecclesiastical touches and neo-Gothic forms with the wanderlust spirit of a fictional traveller, whose souvenirs and artworks lend a sense of discovery to every space.
The hotel is home to Temple & Chapon, a celebration of the grand dining rooms of Paris, where acclaimed chef Mélanie Serre revisits the chophouses of 1950s Manhattan with French finesse. Expect premium cuts of beef, grilled seafood, and sharing platters, served in a convivial atmosphere where New York energy meets Parisian elegance. Downstairs, the American Bar channels Experimental’s origins with expertly mixed cocktails and late-night conversations.
Wellness has its own sanctuary here: a spa in collaboration with Susanne Kaufmann featuring bespoke treatments, a hammam, and a Roman-style indoor pool — the perfect refuge after a day in the Marais.
