Bistrot Tournelles

Bistrot des Tournelles captures something increasingly rare in modern Paris — a restaurant that feels both deeply local and effortlessly authentic.

Tucked between Place des Vosges and Place de la Bastille, Bistrot des Tournelles is the latest venture from respected Parisian restaurateur Édouard Vermynck. The space – furnished with vintage mirrors, a marble bar, and art deco lighting – evokes the atmosphere of a timeless Parisian bistrot. Intimate, warm, and always lively, the dining room operates with a refreshing lack of pretense: diners can expect confident cooking, a convivial atmosphere, and a dining experience that reflects the best of the French bistrot tradition.

Chef Geoffroy Lalangella’s menu offers a refined take on traditional French comfort food. Highlights include oeufs mayonnaise, croque-monsieur with Comté and Prince de Paris ham, house-made andouillette, Provençal beef stew, and a standout chicken cordon bleu. Desserts remain faithful to the classics: Brillat-Savarin cheese, tarte Tatin with raw cream, chocolate mousse, and crème brûlée infused with Madagascar vanilla.
