Le Bon Saint Pourçain

Bistro traditions with a modern twist define the cuisine here, elevated by impeccably sourced, seasonal produce.

Tucked away on the sloping Rue Servandoni, between the colonnades of Saint-Sulpice and the gates of the Luxembourg Gardens, Le Bon Saint Pourçain is a neighbourhood bistro beloved by locals and steeped in decades of traditions. Reimagined in 2015, this intimate spot—with just seven tables indoors and a handful outside—has earned accolades for its understated yet exacting cuisine.

Chef Mathieu Techer, formerly of Senderens and Le Sergent Recruteur, delivers a menu that is instinctive, seasonal, and deeply rooted in French tradition. Expect four starters, three mains, and three desserts on the daily chalkboard, featuring dishes like Cour d’Armoise chicken, poireaux vinaigrette with peanut and egg, and a rum-soaked baba that has become a signature. Sourcing from Terroirs d’Avenir ensures top-quality ingredients, while execution is precise without unnecessary embellishment.
