Chez Donati

Established by Manilo Donati in 1950, Chez Donati has been Basel’s top address for Italian food lovers and a rendezvous for connoisseurs, artists and bon-vivants for more than seventy years. The restaurant is known for its traditional Italian cuisine, particularly Piedmontese classics, alongside formal old-school service that includes guéridon trolleys, freshly sliced Parma ham and an elaborate dessert cart.

For a transitional period of around two years, Chez Donati moves to the Stadthof in Barfüsserplatz, in an ambience reminiscent of the original location: carefully chosen artworks, furniture, colours, and fabrics. Also the food and wine selection remains true to tradition, refined and authentic.
