akmē
Located in Copenhagen’s former industrial harbour district, akmē is an intimate 16-seat restaurant run by two young chefs. The minimalist, Japandi-inspired dining room centres around a counter overlooking the open kitchen, allowing guests to follow the meticulous preparation of each dish and interact directly with the chefs.
The seasonal omakase menu comprises around 20 courses and combines Japanese and French influences, with a strong focus on high-quality ingredients and technical precision. Dishes evolve according to the season and might include Danish langoustine with an intense bisque, bluefin tuna with oyster and wasabi, monkfish liver with tofu and sesame, or pigeon prepared in several ways. Each course is conceived as part of a cohesive progression, balancing delicate flavours with more substantial preparations.
Awarded a Michelin star, akmē offers a focused and contemporary dining experience in which the calm, understated interior reflects the precision of the kitchen.
