Kadeau
Kadeau Copenhagen brings the flavours and landscape of the Danish island of Bornholm to Christianshavn. Opened in 2011 as the city counterpart to the original Kadeau Bornholm, the restaurant has developed a distinctive approach to Nordic cuisine rooted in the island’s produce, traditions and changing seasons.
The menu follows two main periods of the year. During the Growing Season, from May to October, fresh herbs, fruit and vegetables from Kadeau’s own garden and the wild landscapes of Bornholm take centre stage, alongside sustainably sourced Nordic seafood and meat. From October to May, the Preservation Season explores fermentation, curing, pickling and other traditional and contemporary techniques, capturing and transforming the flavours of the warmer months.
Following a major refurbishment in 2016, the restaurant reduced the number of seats to create a more intimate dining experience. Awarded its first Michelin star in 2013, a second in 2018 and a third in 2026, Kadeau Copenhagen combines meticulous cooking with a strong sense of place, translating Bornholm’s landscape and ingredients into an evolving fine-dining experience.
