Gaba

Gaba is a cosy all-day café in La Condesa with an intimate setting, featuring a front coffee bar that leads into a small dining area. The design is simple yet stylish, with concrete floors, chunky wooden chairs with woven leather seating, and a large mirrored panel set against an exposed red brick wall, creating a relaxed atmosphere complemented by the friendly staff.

The kitchen is led by chef Victor Toriz, who prioritises the quality of ingredients and a contemporary, ever-evolving cuisine. The menu is concise and deceptively simple, offering breakfast options served well into the afternoon, such as chilaquiles topped with tangy salsa verde, crema, and crispy bits of roasted lamb. For dinner, the offerings are equally focused, with dishes like ‘nduja toast, crudo of the day with tangerine and jicama, and a pork chop with roasted pineapple.
