Malix
With innovative food and a well-curated selection of wine and cocktails, Malix is a must for dining in Polanco.
MALIX is a unique culinary concept that blends a restaurant, café, and wine shop. Led by renowned chef Alonso Madrigal, the project reimagines the contemporary dining scene in Mexico City. It offers sidewalk tables, a bar area, and seating at tables in a rear dining room where the kitchen is on display.
The name Malix is derived from the Maya language and translates to “without race”. Traditionally used to refer to street dogs, this concept embodies the essence of the menu—dishes influenced by a wide range of cultures and culinary practices from across the globe, reflecting the beauty of cultural exchange and diversity.
Sustainability is at the core of this restaurant’s culinary philosophy: they partners with producers and farmers who are dedicated to environmentally responsible practices, ensuring that seasonal ingredients take center stage. As a result, the menu is ever-changing to highlight the freshest ingredients and the creativity of the kitchen.
