Mari Gold

Run by the same team as Masala y Maiz, Mari Gold is a hidden gem tucked away in a small space near Bosque de Chapultepec and Condesa. This off-the-beaten-path restaurant doesn’t have a flashy sign, making it feel more like stepping into a friend’s home than a typical dining venue. The food is exceptional, featuring a diverse menu with both delicious vegan options and meat dishes.

Highlights include the crudo with grasshoppers, fish quesadilla, and the dosa – a crispy burrito-like dish filled with Indian flavors such as, tamarind, pineapple, potato, and chaat. Vegetarian favourites include the Molote Tikki, dumplings made from beans and sweet plantains, drizzled with a sweet and spicy sauce, and the Sabudana Vada, fried tapioca and potato balls.
