Bentoteca
Bentoteca is a casual restaurant in Milan created by chef Yoji Tokuyoshi, formerly behind the Michelin-starred Ristorante Tokuyoshi. Opened during the pandemic as a delivery-focused project inspired by Japanese bento culture, it has since evolved into a relaxed dining room built around the same idea: high-level cooking without the formalities of fine dining.
The menu combines Japanese techniques with Mediterranean influences. Dishes might include horse tataki with pizzaiola sauce or grilled tuna collar with friggitelli peppers, alongside precise sushi preparations visible from the counter seats. The space itself is minimal and contemporary, with a long counter facing the kitchen and a straightforward dining room that reflects the restaurant’s informal but carefully executed approach.
