Confine – Pizza e Cantina
Confine – Pizza e Cantina is a contemporary pizzeria in Milan’s Cinque Vie district, opened in 2023 by pizzaiolo Francesco Capece and restaurateur Mario Ventura. The project is conceived as a more gastronomic take on the traditional pizzeria, complemented by a strong wine programme.
The menu mixes classic pizzas with more experimental preparations double-cooked pizzas, often explored through tasting menus that present different styles of dough and seasonal toppings in sequence.
The space is modern and design-led, with an open kitchen and a substantial cellar that reflects the restaurant’s “pizza and cantina” concept. The overall approach positions Confine somewhere between pizzeria and contemporary restaurant, focusing on pizza as a full gastronomic experience.
