Latteria San Marco
Latteria San Marco is a long-standing restaurant in Milan’s Brera district, originally opened more than fifty years ago by Arturo and Maria Maggi in a small space on Via San Marco. Over time it became a quiet local institution and a familiar meeting point for generations of Milanese.
The interior has remained largely unchanged, with blue-and-white tiles and simple furnishings that evoke an old Milanese dining room. The atmosphere is intimate and unpretentious, closer to a neighbourhood dining room than a fashionable restaurant.
After briefly announcing its closure, the restaurant reopened under the stewardship of the Loro Piana family. The project preserves the character of the place, keeping both the look of the space and its straightforward, tradition-focused cooking intact.
