Marchesi 1824
Marchesi 1824 is a symbol of excellence, renowned for its pastries, chocolate, and Panettone production.
One of the oldest and most renowned pastry shops in Milan, Marchesi 1824 was founded in 1824 and acquired by Prada group in 2014. Through the years, it has gained an excellent reputation for its high-quality artisanal products, including the handcrafted Panettone.
In the early 20th century, owner Angelo Marchesi began serving coffee, drinks, and cocktails during the aperitif hour, transforming the pastry shop into an elegant café where people could enjoy convivial moments in pleasant company. The charming atmosphere, created by the coffered ceilings and original 20th-century furnishings, makes it one of Milan’s most iconic places to this day. In addition to the historic location on Via Santa Maria alla Porta, the establishment boasts other venues on Via Monte Napoleone and Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II in Milan, as well as in London on Mount Street, Mayfair.
