Sandì

Sandì is an exciting new addition to Milan’s lunchtime scene.

Located in the Città Studi area, Sandì is a place where lunch is elevated into an experience of light, plant-forward cuisine. This charming bistro is the brainchild of Laura Santosuosso, alongside her partner Danny Mollica, who oversees the dining room. Housed in a 1950s building, it was thoughtfully renovated with a minimalist design, maintaining a balance between modernity and nostalgia. The décor features soft, light colors, terrazzo floors, and 1970s chairs, creating an inviting and subtle atmosphere.

Sandì’s menu is rooted in the concept of simplicity and natural flavours, with a focus on plant-based dishes that highlight the potential of vegetables. However, it doesn’t shy away from the occasional inclusion of animal proteins, sourced carefully and processed in-house when available. The cuisine is a joyful and natural exploration of tastes, influenced by Santosuosso’s Emilia-Romagna roots and her past experiences working at iconic Milanese spots like Erba Brusca and Ratanà, as well as in Parisian bistros.
