Chambre Noire
Chambre Noire, a rapidly expanding wine merchant in eastern Paris, has established itself with a bar on boulevard Jules-Ferry, a cellar on rue Folie-Méricourt, and most recently, a minimalist cellar/buvette on rue de Ménilmontant. The venue features a discreet façade and roughcast walls, with a solid counter and a few tables, offering a selection of wines that stand out from the more conventional offerings typically found in many Parisian wine bars.
Following the departure of Rémy Kaneko to the Drôme, Oliver Lomeli has taken over as the sole proprietor. The selection includes crisp, salty reds from Mallorca by Panduro Vinos, lively wines from Quantum Winery in Austria, a sparkling 9% German grenadine from Lagamba, and blanc de noir from Domaine Mada in the Languedoc.
