La Caravella
A historical venue just a few steps away from Piazza San Marco
Restaurant La Caravella has been a beloved Venetian dining destination since the early 1960s when it took over the renowned Ciro’s Bar, a venue famously mentioned by Simone de Beauvoir.
Celebrated for its exceptional cuisine and outstanding service, the restaurant is also known for its distinctive nautical-themed décor, designed by Luigi Oreffice to recreate the atmosphere of an ancient sailing ship.
The menu balances traditional Venetian flavours with creative, contemporary cuisine, highlighting seasonal ingredients and a strong connection to the local territory. Fish remains the star of the menu, alongside selected meat dishes and some refined vegan and vegetarian options, all prepared with care and passion.
During the summer months, La Caravella offers an enchanting outdoor dining experience in its flower-filled Venetian courtyard.
