Sestante
A fish speciality restaurant in Venice
Sestante – Osteria di Mare is a restaurant specialising in fish in Venice established in 2013, inspired by the long nautical traditions of the city. A sextant is a tool used by sailors to measure the elevation corner of a celestial object above the horizon. Throughout the whole history that links Venice to the sea, the great seamen from the past used an old version of this tool to define the route and to reach the far East.
Everything at Sestante recalls the sea and the sailing: the name and logo, the interior design and most of all the fish cuisine. Year after year, the restaurant has become a true cornerstone of the city, for both tourists and Venetians, thanks to its varied menu: from the traditional cicchetti snacks to a quick lunch, from à la carte dinners to raw fish tastings, the menu of Sestante can satisfy any palate.
