Consum Weinbar is a wine bar in Basel’s Kleinbasel old town. Opened in 2008, the concept was inspired by Spanish wine bars and tapas culture, quickly becoming a well-known meeting place along Rheingasse.

The offering revolves around wine, cheese and cured meats, with more than one hundred bottles available and a menu built around platters, small Mediterranean-style dishes and aperitivo snacks.

Inside, the atmosphere is lively and relaxed, mixing large communal tables and shelves of wine bottles. In summer, the terrace spilling onto Rheingasse becomes one of Kleinbasel’s busiest aperitivo spots.
