Bar Nico
Bar Nico is a small neighbourhood wine bar in Milan’s Acquabella district. The space was first a tyre shop, then a historic pasta factory – an eclectic past still hinted at by the vintage signage on the façade. The interior, designed by SagomaStudio, retains a stripped-back, industrial look, with exposed concrete, stainless steel details and large windows opening onto the street.
Bar Nico focuses primarily on natural and small-producer wines, with a strong selection from France and Italy and several bottles available by the glass. The drinks are accompanied by a short menu of small plates, like smoked fish, cured meats and cheeses. Unpretentious and quietly design-led, Bar Nico works as an easy local spot for a glass of wine and a quick bite.
