Wine bar

Montezuma Café

Montezuma Café is a wine bar and restaurant near Bourse in Paris, created by Théophile de Penanster and Louis Mesana, both formerly of Le Verre Volé. Named after Neil Young’s album Zuma, the place brings together natural wines, vinyl and a serious hi-fi sound system built around Klipschorn speakers and a McIntosh tube amplifier. In the kitchen, chef Clément Satgé serves a changing selection of generous, bistro-inspired plates made for sharing. Upstairs is relaxed and intimate, while the vaulted cellar downstairs regularly hosts guest selectors and record collectors, making music as much a part of the experience as the food and wine.
