Bulgaria 2026
Title: The Federation of Minor Practices
Commissioner: Dessislava Dimova
Curator: Martina Yordanova
Exhibitors: Gery Georgieva, Maria Nalbantova, Rayna Teneva, Veneta Androva
The Pavilion is conceived as the headquarters of a fictional research lab operating within a care-oriented political imagination. Set in a speculative future, the exhibition looks back at the early 21st century as the period when the conditions for this future first emerged. The presentation features four newly commissioned films.
The exhibition is designed as an interactive environment based on a computer game, where signals from the films are activated through play as a form of collective orientation. From an imagined future perspective, the pavilion serves as a laboratory where shared acts of attention and care begin to assemble a post-sovereign political imagination. The project weaves the practices of four artists into a shared narrative, reflecting the vitality of the Bulgarian art scene and its engagement with historical responsibility.
