The team of architects, scientists, designers, and educators represents Canada at the 2025 Venice Architecture Biennale, presenting their ambitious, large-scale living pavilion project.

Their design uses materials embedded with biologically active, living cells in an architectural context, employing innovative fabrication techniques. In response to climate collapse, the Living Room Collective proposes a new model of architecture that places regenerative processes and care at its core. The project challenges the human-centred architectural legacy, imagining a radically transformed future for both Canadian and global architecture.
