Voluspa Jarpa’s project for the Pavilion of Chile stems from years of research into the reality of Latin American countries. She connects several “cases” of European history between the 17th and the 20th century related to social expressions, ethnographic research and dominant powers, to foster a reflection on the hegemonic views which have led to the construction of the great historical accounts. The never before seen research project “Altered Views” investigates European dominant narratives in regard to non-hegemonic regions, reflecting on racism, patriarchy, economic interests and dominance as forms of colonialism.
