Denmark 2021
con-nect-ed-ness
Title: con-nect-ed-ness
Commissioner: Kent Martinussen, CEO of Danish Architecture Center
Curator: Marianne Krogh
Exhibitors: Lundgaard & Tranberg Architects
With reference to the main theme of the Biennale Architettura 2021, “How will we live together?”, the Danish contribution reminds us of how architecture as an art form can render the invisible visible and evoke an indelible sense of connection between people and the Earth’s elements. The Danish exhibition features an immersive installation, a giant cyclic system with water collected in Venice as the core element, connecting the pavilion’s visitors and its surroundings. The installation investigates the concept of connectedness, referencing the potential connections that architecture can start between people and natural elements.
