Title: Conexión by LiLeón
Commissioner: Carmen Heredia de Guerrero, Minister of Culture Dominican Republic
Curators: Roberta Semeraro
Exhibitor: Lidia León Cabral
Lidia León Cabral’s architecture intervention inside the church in San Vio is full of symbolism, inspired by wabi-sabi philosophy and our bond with Mother Earth. Just as the Anglican church is renowned for its inclusiveness and pluralism, so the installation by León Cabral stands as an example of how different people can cohabit in the same space. The installation is made of tobacco leaves panels representing the dense network of connections in society and with nature.
