Through a collective exploration of shared and individual experiences, the Pavilion invites visitors to reconsider societal norms and expectations.
The artists employ various mediums, including drawing, stitchwork, sculpture, and healing practices, informed by their encounters with global structural, environmental, and social challenges. Pia Lindman examines atmospheres and toxicities, Vidha Saumya challenges aesthetic and national norms, and Jenni-Juulia Wallinheimo-Heimonen sheds light on discrimination against people with disabilities.
With “access architecture” by Kaisa Sööt, the Pavilion redefines the art experience, embracing diverse bodies and perspectives. Celebrating the pleasure of the personal, this collective endeavor offers a compelling vision for reshaping our world.
