Title: “Of One Essence is the Human Race”

The title is taken from a verse of a poem by Abu Mohammad Mosleh ebn Abdollāh, known as Saʿdi, who lived in the 13th century, and it represents an ode to the unity of humankind, regardless of social barriers and labels. It’s a universal principle that, however, according to the Woman Life Freedom movements – a Kurdish slogan that emerged during the protests following the death of Mahsa Amini, who was arrested in Tehran for opposing the hijab and died under suspicious circumstances on September 16, 2022, after three days in a coma – would only be superficial.
