Title: “Maleth / Haven / Port – Heterotopias of Evocation”

The Pavilion of Malta’s presentation is inspired by the Odissey: Vince Briffa, Klitsa Antoniou and Trevor Borg research between reality and fiction the timeless need of individuals for a Haven (“Maleth” in the Phoenician language), especially in times of crisis. This desire has joint all those who have travelled across the waters of Mediterranean through the ages. The artists, all from Mediterranean regions, present newly commissioned works which interrogate viewers on the modern notions of homeness/ (un)homeness.
