“Actos de Dios / Acts of God” tackles the issue of memory versus historical events exploring the links that connect our social spaces with their cultural representations. Pablo Vargas Lugo’s interest in nature and materials, the antique and the sacred, religions’ history and science fiction has allowed him to displace hierarchies and re-imagine the categories that structure Western thought. Through his work the artist will question the conventions on which the systems are based on to start a new way of thinking.
