Mexico Pavilion at the 60th International Art Exhibition in Venice will be a tribute and an invitation to appreciate the unfamiliar and to imagine possibilities from the intimacy of common nostalgia.
The project stands out for its conceptual, theoretical, and artistic proposal centered around reflecting on the migratory asylum that is part of Mexico’s history.
The video installation, designed for the Mexico Pavilion, seeks to poetically evoke displacement and, simultaneously, the rootedness represented by family, and the solemnity of absence, arrivals and departures, or sharing dreams about a more favorable future for all.
