The North Macedonian national pavilion returns to the Arsenale venue after seven years with a project focusing on the brutalist architecture that Skopje adopted following the catastrophic earthquake of 1963. Over time, brutalism has become a distinct and paradigmatic layer of the city’s urban fabric, recognisable in its mature forms and structural innovations.
