The Portuguese project at the 17th Venice Architecture Biennale includes the exhibition at the Venetian palazzo and a programme of debates. The first provides a narrative of Portuguese architecture through the history of its democracy. The narration occurs through seven case studies of broad media coverage, characterized by material destruction, social relocation, and popular participation. Other projects with affinities to these issues are also presented.
