Marking Qatar’s first official participation to the Architecture Biennale, “Beyti Beytak. My home is your home. La mia casa è la tua casa” examines how contemporary architecture responds to the needs of communities while reimagining a sense of belonging, exploring how forms of hospitality are embodied in the architecture and urban landscape of Middle East, North Africa, and South Asia.

It is a two-part exhibition, featuring an installation at the Giardini and a presentation at Palazzo Franchetti. The exhibition at the Giardini showcases Pakistani architect Yasmeen Lari’s Community Centre (2024), a temporary bamboo structure that reflects her humanitarian and architectural approach. Developed as part of the Heritage Foundation of Pakistan’s relief efforts, it uses bamboo for adaptable, sustainable construction. The display at Palazzo Franchetti will present the work of more than 30 modern architects that have worked in the MENASA region, including several whose work has not previously been shown in Venice.
