The Pavilion explores the history of labor and leisure through 40 paintings spanning 15 years. Titled “What Work Is” the Pavilion explores the history and relationship between work and leisure. Savu draws inspiration from historical realism, Eastern Bloc propaganda art and socialist themes. Inspired by historical realism and socialist themes, challenging conventional depictions of work while advocating for genuine portrayals. The exhibition culminates in a monumental mosaic installation in Chișinău, Moldova, contrasting traditional socialist public art.
