Slovenia 2025

The exhibition highlights the crucial role craftsmanship techniques and skills still play in architecture's development today.

Arsenale, Campo de la Tana 2169, 30122 Venice, Italy

Title: Master Builders
Commissioner: Maja Vardjan
Curators/Exhibitors: Ana Kosi and Ognen Arsov

The pavilion highlights the essential role of craftsmanship in architectural production, emphasising its irreplaceable value even as AI, 3D printing, and automation rise in construction. Through the work of Kosi and Arsov from the KIP architectural studio, the exhibition explores the vital connection between architectural design and craftsmanship on construction sites.

The pavilion features a series of totems, physical representations of the knowledge and skills of artisans, created through an experimental process that investigates the relationship between architects, artisans, and architecture. This installation underscores the importance of skilled craftsmanship, which often lacks the recognition it deserves, while illustrating its critical role in shaping quality architecture.
