For the 59th Venice Biennale, Zimbabwe presents a collective exhibition that seeks to shed a light on different realms of knowledge and ways of knowing. The concept of the exhibition recalls the scientific revolutions which occurred thanks to those scientific and technical minds who rebelled against the cultic centres of faith. A the same time, twentieth-century disasters demonstrated that science and technology are not infallible, and that faith in science is after all always a faith.  The monolithic conception of technological progress as undoubtedly positive has had to face its failures.
