13th Berlin Biennale for Contemporary Art
The 13th Berlin Biennale for Contemporary Art takes place from 14 June to 14 September 2025 across four venues in Berlin: Hamburger Bahnhof – Nationalgalerie der Gegenwart, KW Institute for Contemporary Art, Sophiensæle, and a former courthouse on Lehrter Straße in Moabit.
Since 1998, the Berlin Biennale has served as a platform for experimental exhibitions and events, offering curators and artists a space beyond market constraints. It brings together diverse artistic and political perspectives, engaging with international contemporary developments and fostering dialogue with Berlin’s public.
The 2025 edition focuses on contemporary artistic languages rooted in diverse practices and histories from nonadjacent geographies, highlighting art’s role in politically challenging times.
The 13th Berlin Biennale is curated by Zasha Colah, with Valentina Viviani as Assistant Curator.
