This year, miart – international fair of modern and contemporary art – goes digital.
The first edition of the fair’s new format is about to open online, running from September 11–13, anticipated by the VIP and press preview on September 9 and 10. More than 130 national and international exhibitors will present their contents, organised into four thematic areas reflecting the typical structure of the fair.
The participating galleries will be able to present their artworks online along with additional multimedia contents; more insights about the fair and other initiatives will be on display for the viewers, selected by a board of curators.
With its new digital structure, miart presents a new platform to promote visual arts and confirms its role as the main actor in the current discourse around contemporary and modern art, design and emerging artistic practices.
A section of the fair’s platform will be dedicated to the Milan Art Week, opening in various locations throughout the city from September 7–13, and offering other art institutions the chance to promote their programmes too.
