From June 22 until July 4, 2021, “Sun & Sea” comes back to Italy for the first and last time in the historical settings of Teatro Argentina in Rome. For some days, the theatre’s auditorium has been transformed into a beach full of sand, where a cast of actors perform as groups of bathers, while viewers observe them from the dais, with a musical background.

“Sun & sea” is a project by the three Lithuanian artists  Lina LapelyteVaiva Grainyte and Rugile Barzdziukaite, and curated by Lucia Pietroiusti. The performance was presented in the Lithuanian Pavilion during the 58th Venice Art Biennale, winning the prize as best national pavilion.
