Talking Galleries is an initiative founded by cultural entrepreneur Llucià Homs in Barcelona in 2011 dedicated to an international dialogue on the field of the art market and the galleries business fields.

Structured as a two-days symposium, every year it gathers leading key figures from the art world to discuss the status of contemporary art and its crucial themes. It attracts diverse audiences, made up of gallerists, collectors, art journalists, curators, artists, and fair directors, who share their expertise and experience to contribute to foster the knowledge of contemporary art across all sectors of the art business. Among its latest international events are TG Paris 2018, TG Seoul 2018 and TG Berlin 2015.

The 8th annual symposium in Barcelona will be hosted at MACBA on January 20-21, 2020 and features a wide program of talks, welcoming renowned speakers such Allan Schwartzman (Art Agency, Partners), Matt Carey-Williams (Victoria Miro), Kenny Schachter (Artnet News), Elena Soboleva (David Zwirner), Greg Hilty (Lisson Gallery), Alexander Forbes (Artsy) and Tim Schneider (artnet News), to name just a few, while moderators are Georgina Adam (The Art Newspaper), Melanie Gerlis (Financial Times), Jane Morris (The Art Newspaper) and Llucià Homs (Director, Talking Galleries).
Main topics include: the millennials art market, the state of digital sales, the evolving gallery model, sustainability in the art market, the shifting tastes and dedication of collectors, and new approaches to the gallery business.

The programme is now live on Talking Galleries’ website but subject to modifies.
