Alina Chaiderov, (b.1984, St. Petersburg) on show at Antoine Levi’s booth at Artissima 2015, has been announced as Illy Present Future Prize winner this year.

Since 2012, the winning artist is awarded a solo show at the prestigious Castello di Rivoli. In fact Rachel Rose’s (2014 winner) exhibition has just opened this week.

“I try to find different ways to formulate an interplay between the concepts of memory, body and space on a subconscious and conscious level. I am interested in the relation between the psychological and physical. To reach, through physical constellations of materials, for opportunities to move along with the body as it assumes its power over the psyche. The Micro-macro perspective is of big importance in my work.” States the artist
